Anubis and Horus Necklace bears the Ancient Egyptian Gods and will take you to eternity!
Anubis was an Ancient Egyptian god closely associated with death, the afterlife, and mummification. In ancient Egyptian religion, he is often depicted as a dog or a dog headed man.
Anubis played many important roles in Ancient Egyptian mythology, including guarding tombs: leading individuals to the afterlife and performing an ancient Egyptian ritual in which your soul was judged by the “Weighing of the Heart”. Headquartered in Cynopolis in Upper Egypt, Anubis was one of the most popular gods in ancient Egypt.
If you want to have a ritual yourself, the Anubis and Horus Necklace will be the best choice for you!
Parallel to its popularity, it was frequently depicted in ancient Egyptian art. Its most famous statue is probably the Temple of Anubis, located in the tomb of the famous Egyptian pharaoh Tutankhamun. Popular culture portrayals of Anubis often portray him as a demonic figure, but not accurately.
He was revered in ancient Egypt as a good and sane God. Let’s talk about historical facts, myths, about Anubis, about his powers and religious significance in Ancient Egypt.
Anubis played many roles in Ancient Egyptian mythology. He was the guardian of tombs and cemeteries. Because the dead were usually buried on the west bank of the Nile, Anubis was called khenty amentiu, meaning “the most important of the westerners.”
Anubis was embalming; hence it was called jmy-wt. This word means “one who is at the place of embalming”. Most importantly, it is associated with the other world. Most of Anubis’ role in mythology takes place here.
Anubis guided the earthlings on their journey to the afterlife. However, his most famous role was the weighing of the heart. The ancient Egyptians believed that during your journey through the underworld you were led to the “Hall of Maat”. Here your heart was weighed on the scales with Maat’s “feather of truth” on the opposite side.
Anubis would weigh the heart of the deceased individual. If the heart was light, the soul would be transmitted to the afterlife; but if it was found heavy, the Egyptian demon Ammut would devour it, and that would be the end of one’s life.
If you are into mythology, the Anubis and Horus Necklace will be the ideal idea for you! Because the Anubis and Horus Necklace has two important Greek God figures on it.
Horus, the helper of Ra and the symbol of the Pharaoh, is often seen in the form of a falcon. It was Ra’s helper for most of Egyptian history and symbolized Pharaoh’s powers. After avenging his father Osiris, he inherited the right to rule the lands of Egypt and became one of the most important gods of the Egyptian pantheon. Horus has many myths and interesting facts.
Horus is one of the oldest known Egyptian gods. This god is mentioned until the beginning of Egyptian history and is depicted in the oldest known cult statue in existence. The most common form in which Horus appears in iconography is the hawk.
Sometimes, and especially from the Middle Kingdom, Horus is shown as a winged solar disk representing Horus of Behdeli, a town in the Nile Delta and an important cult center of the falcon god. It is one of the most common images in Egyptian religious architecture and has thousands of examples in museums and monuments.

According to Egyptian mythology, Horus was the son of Isis and Osiris, the goddess of love and the god of the dead, respectively. It was directly linked to the Egyptian kingdom from the earliest times when his image appeared on certain rectangular works known as serekh. Serehks were emblems of the earliest pharaohs and depicted the falcon god perched on a palace façade.
It meant a direct relationship between Horus and kings, and indeed the “name of Horus” was one of the king’s many titles. In addition to being characterized by the name Horus, the king is typically depicted in the form of a hawk flying over his head.
Let’s talk about the most well known story of Horus.
From the First Dynasty (ca. 2925-277 BC), Horus was represented as the perpetual enemy of another powerful god, Seth. The balance between the two brought harmony for both Upper and Lower Egypt, but only one of them could represent the Pharaoh.
A very famous legend known as “the strife of Horus and Seth” states that after the death of Osiris, a group of nine gods (the Ennead) met to discuss which god would inherit his kingdom.
The two most likely names popped up: Horus and Seth. The first was a direct descendant of Osiris, but was still young and unprepared. The latter was much more mature as Osiris’ brother, but he was also the one who killed Osiris earlier.
It was decided that the two gods would hold a contest and the winner would receive the kingdom of Osiris. Since the form of the competition was left to the competitors, the competitions came, each of which he thought had an advantage over his opponent.
For example, Seth, who is often associated with the dangerous hippopotamus, suggested that they turn themselves into hippopotamuses and dive into the Nile. The person who could hold their breath longer would be the winner.
Of course, Seth could have easily won, but Horus’ mother, Isis, came to his aid, stabbing Seth with a copper spear. In the end, Horus was the victor, and he was declared the legitimate heir to the throne of Egypt. For this reason, most pharaohs in Egyptian history have a “name of Horus”.
